Bhubaneswar, June 17 -- In an anti-Naxal operation, police in Odisha's Kandhamal district recovered a cache of arms, ammunition and explosive materials from a concealed Maoist dump during a search operation in the district's forested areas on June 16, said officials on Wednesday.
Acting on specific intelligence, police launched coordinated searches in the Sitagurha, Ganjugurha, Kutibarhi, Gudrikya, and Lanjam areas under the Kotagarh, Baliguda, and Tumudibandha police station limits. The operation involved two Special Operations Group (SOG) teams and one District Voluntary Force (DVF) team.
