Bhubaneswar, June 14 -- Prominent social activists and leaders of people's movements have demanded immediate advanced medical treatment, adequate security and a high-level impartial inquiry into the alleged assault on Tikiri Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Chameli Ojha of Kendrapara district.

In a joint statement, the activists expressed deep concern over the incident and alleged that the elected woman representative had become a victim of administrative and political vendetta for raising her voice against corruption and irregularities.
