Nottingham, June 29 -- New Zealand scripted one of the finest overseas triumphs in their Test history, defeating England by 160 runs in the third and final Test at Trent Bridge on Monday to clinch the three-match series 2-1, handing the hosts their first home Test series defeat in a contest of three or more matches since 2012.
The victory completed a stunning turnaround for Tom Latham's men, who recovered after losing the opening Test to become the first New Zealand side to lose the first match of a three-Test series and still win the series.
