Dharamshala, July 31 -- Continuing its crackdown on narcotics under the "Drug-Free Himachal Campaign", the Nurpur Police have arrested a 24-year-old man and seized 151.9 grams of charas (cannabis resin) from his residence in Kangra district.
Superintendent of Police, Nurpur, Ilma Afroze told UNI that a team from Damtal Police Station was on routine patrol and checking duty near Kandrori Gate on July 29 when it received specific information that a man identified as Kaushal was allegedly selling charas from his house in Bai Atarian village.
She said that acting swiftly, the police completed all legal formalities and, in the presence of independent witnesses, conducted a raid at the suspect's residence.
