Nurpur, Aug. 19 -- Nurpur Police have arrested two persons, wanted in separate cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This follows investigations into the backward and forward links of the drug supply network, police said on Wednesday.

Nurpur District Superintendent of Police Ilma Afroze told UNI that in the first case, Rajat (32), son of Rakesh Kumar and resident of Naushera Pattan in Mukerian tehsil of Punjab's Hoshiarpur district, was arrested from Shahpur Kandi in Pathankot on August 18. He was wanted in FIR No. 171/2026 registered on June 28 under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act.
