Chennai, July 3 -- S.B. Selvakumaran has taken charge as Station Director of Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS) at Kalpakkam, about 70 km from Chennai.
He assumed charge following the superannuation of M. Seshaiah.
Prior to his assumption of charge, Selvakumaran was the Chief Superintendent of MAPS.
The Madras Atomic Power Station located at Kalpakkam on the east coast is an operating station under the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited and has two Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) plants with installed capacity of 220 MWe each.
