Nuh, Aug. 4 -- Haryana Police on Tuesday claimed to have foiled an alleged cattle-smuggling attempt after an exchange of fire with suspects near Binwa village in the Sadar Ferozepur Jhirka police station area of Nuh district. One alleged smuggler sustained a bullet injury during the encounter, while three cattle were rescued.
According to a Haryana Police spokesperson, the operation was carried out by the Ferozepur Jhirka CIA team under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Mahender Singh. Police said the suspects allegedly opened fire on the team, prompting officers to retaliate in self-defence.
