Bhagalpur, June 2 -- : National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), India's largest power generation company, is planning a major expansion of its Kahalgaon Thermal Power Station in Bihar with the addition of a new 800 MW unit under the proposed third phase of the project.
NTPC Director (Operations) Ravindra Kumar told UNI here today that the Kahalgaon Thermal Power Station, NTPC's first and oldest power-generating facility in Bihar, has significant scope for expansion. The plant currently has a total installed capacity of 2,340 MW under its Phase-I and Phase-II units.
