Kottayam, May 14 -- Nair Service Society (NSS) general secretary G. Sukumaran Nair on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the Congress leadership and its coalition partners, especially the Indian union Muslim League(IUML), over the continuing delay in announcing Kerala's next Chief Minister.
Speaking to reporters in Kottayam, Sukumaran Nair said the selection of the Chief Minister was purely an internal matter of the Indian National Congress and alleged that interference by alliance partners had created the present deadlock.
"It was already clear that the Chief Minister would be from the Congress. Then what authority do coalition partners have to say who should or should not become Chief Minister?" he asked.
