Kottayam, May 14 -- Nair Service Society (NSS) General Secretary G. Sukumaran Nair has come out with a strong and sharply worded criticism against the decision of the Congress high command to appoint V. D. Satheesan as the next Chief Minister of Kerala, alleging that the process lacked established conventions, democratic procedure, and transparent criteria.

Talking to newspersons here, Sukumaran Nair said that the manner in which the Chief Minister was selected amounted to a clear departure from accepted political practices.
