Dharamshala, Oct. 30 -- The National Statistical Office (NSO), Dharamshala, will conduct a series of socio-economic surveys in Kangra and Chamba districts of Himachal Pradesh during November to collect data on employment, migration, household income, credit, investment and unorganised sector enterprises.
Assistant Director of the NSO Sub-Regional Office, Dharamshala, Simran said trained officials would undertake fieldwork in selected rural and urban areas of the two districts.
She said the data collected through these surveys would provide an important basis for government policy formulation, evaluation of development plans and assessment of various welfare schemes.
