Patna, Sept. 1 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat following the Centre''s approval for the establishment of a new campus of the National School of Drama (NSD) in the state.
Choudhary said the decision would provide a major boost to Bihar''s rich theatre and performing arts traditions and help give them greater recognition and new opportunities at the national level. He said Bihar has a rich cultural heritage and is the land of legendary personalities such as Kalidasa, Ramvriksh Benipuri and Bhikhari Thakur. The state also has a distinctive and glorious tradition of folk theatre and performing arts.
