Hyderabad, March 1 -- Telangana Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (NPDCL) on Sunday recorded the highest peak power demand of 6,267 MW in its history, according to Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Karnati Varun Reddy.
The demand surpassed the previous record of 6,057 MW registered on Saturday, marking a significant milestone for the power utility.
The CMD said the achievement was the result of planning and timely measures taken by the company.
He noted that power demand has been rising steadily with increasing temperatures and prolonged sunshine. Despite this, NPDCL is implementing a comprehensive strategy to ensure uninterrupted power supply, with special focus on strengthening infrastructure.
