Mumbai, Sept. 7 -- National Stock Exchange (NSE) Managing Director and CEO Ashishkumar Chauhan officially dismissed all speculation here on Monday that he is in the race to succeed N Chandrasekharan as the next chairman of Tata Sons, adding that he remains focused on his responsibilities on the NSE's forthcoming initial public offering (IPO).
The NSE issued a statement that Chauhan's appointment to the Tata Sons chairman's post was "speculative" and "not based on any information available with the exchange".
The NSE statement also quoted Chauhan saying that he has categorically rejected the reports as "speculative and factually incorrect".
