New York, Sept. 7 -- Czech sixth seed Linda Noskova survived a dramatic three-set battle against Ukraine's 11th seed Marta Kostyuk, saving multiple match points before prevailing 7-5, 5-7, 6-4 to reach the US Open quarterfinals for the first time here on Sunday.

The 21-year-old Noskova held her nerve in a tense deciding set at Louis Armstrong Stadium to end Kostyuk's spirited challenge and book a last-eight clash with top seed and two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka.
