Jammu, July 2 -- In view of the continuously increasing rush of rail passengers and the expected commercial demand in the coming days, Northern Railway's Jammu Division has decided to augment additional air-conditioned coaches on a temporary basis in two major trains as part of its passenger facility expansion.

This step aims to provide confirmed berths to passengers travelling ahead of the festive season and during the summer holidays, an official spokesperson said.

He said an additional AC three-tier coach has been temporarily attached to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Express from July 14 to 16.

Hundreds of pilgrims and tourists are expected to benefit from the additional coach.
