Pyongyang, June 24 -- The Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) held a key meeting focusing on economy, with General Secretary Kim Jong Un presiding over the event, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Tuesday.
According to the report, the Enlarged Meeting of the 12th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK was convened to conduct the interim review of the implementation of the major party and state policies for this year, to reconfirm the keynote of the work for the second half of the year and to discuss and decide on the issues arising in the course of expanding and deepening short-, intermediate- and long-range plans for economic construction, the KCNA said.
