Moradabad, Feb. 17 -- A court in Moradabad of Uttar Pradesh has issued a non-bailable warrant against Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel and directed the police to ensure her appearance on March 27.
According to advocate Pankaj Sharma, if the actress fails to appear before the court on the scheduled date, she may be arrested.
The case dates back to 2017, when an event manager, Pawan Kumar Verma, filed a complaint in a Moradabad court. Verma, owner of Dream Vision Event Company and a resident of the Katghar Police Station area, alleged that the actress had taken Rs 11 lakh to perform at a wedding ceremony but failed to attend the event.
