Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 13 -- The process of filing nominations for candidates contesting in the upcoming local body elections will commence on November 14.
Nomination papers can be submitted between 11 am and 3 pm each day. The last date for filing nominations is November 21, and the scrutiny of nominations will be conducted on November 22. Candidates may withdraw their nominations until November 24.
A deposit of Rs 2,000 is required for those contesting in Gram Panchayats, Rs 4,000 for Block Panchayats and Municipalities, and Rs 5,000 for District Panchayats and Corporations. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates need to pay only half of the prescribed amount.
