Shimla, March 13 -- The district administration Shimla has directed residents living within a 10-kilometre radius of Jubbarhatti Airport to obtain prior permission from the Airport Authority before carrying out any construction activity in the area.
The directive was issued during a meeting of the Airport Environment Management Committee chaired by Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap in Shimla on Friday.
The Deputy Commissioner said that obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from airport authorities is mandatory for any building construction within the airport zone to ensure safety of aircraft operations.
