Mangaluru, June 26 -- BJP Karnataka president Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Friday dismissed allegations of any understanding with Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, asserting that there was "no personal or business relationship" between the two and rejecting claims linking him to cross-voting in the recent Legislative Council elections.

Speaking to reporters at Dharmasthala, Vijayendra said the cross-voting by some BJP MLAs during the Council polls had caused deep pain to him and lakhs of party workers, even though both BJP candidates emerged victorious.

"Cross-voting by BJP legislators has led to several discussions. It has pained me and lakhs of our workers," he said.
