Bengaluru, June 8 -- Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Monday dismissed speculation over Rajya Sabha nominations for former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and actor-politician Sumalatha Ambareesh, saying there had been no discussion within the party's state unit regarding Deve Gowda's candidature and that the BJP leadership had chosen to reward dedicated party workers.
"There were no discussions at the state level regarding Deve Gowda's Rajya Sabha candidature," Vijayendra told reporters here.
