Bengaluru, Aug. 4 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday issued a stern warning to disgruntled Congress legislators upset over the recent Cabinet expansion, saying he would accept their resignations "the very moment" they are submitted.
Speaking to reporters at his residence, Shivakumar dismissed speculation over dissatisfaction among party MLAs denied ministerial berths and stressed that party discipline was paramount.
"If any MLA comes to resign, I will accept the resignation immediately. The party is important and discipline in the party is important," he said.
Appealing for patience, the Chief Minister cited several senior Congress leaders who had to wait for ministerial opportunities despite their stature.
