Shillong, Sept. 7 -- Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister and senior NPP National Vice President, Sniawbhalang Dhar on Monday brushed asides allegations that party legislators plan to defect to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), asserting that the NPP remains united under Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.
"We in the NPP family are all happy. There is no such move, no dialogue with the BJP. There is no threat at all," Dhar said, even as he termed the allegations as "false" and "speculation" from other political parties."In a late-night press conference, Dhar said that none of the NPP legislators have any intention to join the saffron party.
