Hyderabad, March 4 -- The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Telangana, on Wednesday said no nominations were filed till 3 pm on Wednesday for the biennial election to the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) from the state.
According to a press release, the Returning Officer and Additional Secretary to the Telangana State Legislature reported that no candidate submitted nomination papers during the day.
With the deadline for filing nominations for the biennial Rajya Sabha elections set to close on Thursday, the ruling Congress and the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) are yet to be finalise their candidates.
