Dharamshala, Sept. 1 -- The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has issued a stern warning to all affiliated schools against the practice of "dummy admissions" or paper enrolments taken merely to enable students to appear in board examinations.
HPBOSE Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma has directed schools to strictly desist from such practices, making it clear that any complaint of dummy admissions found true after investigation will invite stringent action against the concerned institution or examination centre under the board's rules.
Dr Sharma said admitting students without their regularly attending classes, merely to increase enrolment, complete paperwork or allow them to appear in board examinations, was unacceptable.
