Shillong, Sept. 26 -- Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister and senior National People's Party (NPP) leader Sniawbhalang Dhar on Saturday rubbished claims that some party legislators are in New Delhi holding negotiations to switch over to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
"I want to clarify from my side that there is nothing wrong within the NPP family. All the 33 legislators of the NPP are intact and united," Dhar, who is also the NPP National Vice President, said.
Dhar added that his recent visit to New Delhi, alongside Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and Deputy Chief Minister in-charge of Home Prestone Tynsong, was strictly for official work.
