Hyderabad, April 30 -- Director of Public Health, Government of Telangana Dr Ravinder Naik has clarified that there is no cause for alarm over leprosy in Telangana, dismissing recent media reports suggesting a resurgence of the disease.

Responding to a report titled "Leprosy Scare Again in the State," he stated that there is no surge in new cases and reaffirmed that Telangana has already achieved "Leprosy Elimination" status as per Central Government norms.
