Ranchi, Jan. 30 -- There is no immediate relief from cold conditions in Jharkhand, as chilly weather has intensified once again under the influence of an active western disturbance over northern India.

According to the Meteorological Department, the impact of the western disturbance has been felt across the state since the morning of January 29.

Cold winds are likely to persist till February 1, while the possibility of light rain and drizzle in the coming days may further intensify the cold conditions.
