New Delhi, Nov. 9 -- The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) said on Sunday that invoking Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is not required in the national capital, citing signs of improvement in the city's air quality.
The central pollution watchdog convened a review meeting today to take stock of Delhi's pollution levels as the average AQI is hovering at the higher end of the 'very poor' category.
The decision on GRAP was taken by the CAQM Sub-Committee at the meeting.
The committee took note of the declining trend in pollution levels through the day and forecasts of further improvement in meteorological conditions, to unanimously rule out the need to implement GRAP-III restrictions at this juncture.
