Panchkula, July 31 -- Haryana Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa on Friday asserted that no eligible voter was removed during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
He strongly supported deleting names of people allegedly residing in the country illegally.
Addressing reporters after inaugurating the 20th Ashwini Gupta Memorial District Badminton Championship-2026 at the Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex in Panchkula, Gangwa said the revision exercise had not affected any genuine voter.
"If the names of illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators have been removed from the electoral rolls, it should be welcomed. The voters' list must contain only eligible Indian citizens," the minister said.
