Hyderabad, April 27 -- : The Telangana Civil Supplies Department on Monday clarified that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel in the state and urged the public to ignore rumours circulating on social media about fuel scarcity.

Officials said adequate stocks are available to meet the regular demand of commuters, the transport sector, and the farming community.

Under the direction of Civil Supplies Commissioner M. Stephen Raveendra, the department is coordinating with Oil Marketing Companies to ensure an uninterrupted supply.

As of 4 pm, the state received 7,443 KL of petrol and 11,081 KL of diesel, totalling 18,524 KL, according to official data.
