Lucknow, Feb. 18 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa on Wednesday outrightly rejected the Samajwadi Party's allegations of manipulation in Form 7 to delete PDA voters' names during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and claimed that a record 11.5 million hearings have been held so far in the state.

Addressing a press conference here, the CEO said 1,40,425 applications for deletion of names have been received under Form-7, including 55,752 women, 84,667 men, and six third gender voters. Of these, 70,865 people themselves applied to have their names removed.

Due to shifting, 16,863 Form 7 were automatically generated. So far, 23,935 names have been removed, including 5,211 automatic deletions....
