Bengaluru, Aug. 12 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Wednesday ruled out any change in the portfolios allotted to ministers, amid growing speculation over dissatisfaction within the newly expanded Cabinet.
Making his position clear, Shivakumar said ministers who had already taken oath and been assigned departments would have to continue with the portfolios given to them.
"There is no change in the portfolios. Those who have been given departments should manage the departments allotted to them," he said.
His remarks assume significance amid reports that some ministers have been pressing for what they consider "powerful" portfolios and expressing dissatisfaction over the departments allotted to them.
