Shimla, March 17 -- Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday said that despite financial constraints, the state government would not curtail the budget for the education and health sectors, reiterating that both remained top priorities for the government.
Presiding over a one-day Principal's Conference on reforms in higher education in Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, the Chief Minister said focused efforts were being made to ensure quality education for students across the state, including those in remote and far-flung areas.
He stressed that building self-confidence among students was crucial so they could effectively face future challenges, adding that teachers played a key role in shaping students' capabilities and outlook.
