Panchkula, Oct. 8 -- The National Medical Commission (NMC) has asked medical colleges and academic institutions across the country to actively participate in the sixth-anniversary observance of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), the government's flagship campaign to prevent substance abuse and promote a drug-free society.

NMC Secretary Dr Raghav Langer said the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is organising a commemorative event, tentatively scheduled for the second or fourth week of October 2026, and has sought wider participation and publicity among medical students.
