Agartala, Nov. 5 -- In a major boost for medical education in Tripura, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved 50 additional MBBS seats for Tripura Medical College, a society-run institution, increasing its intake from 100 to 150.
With this, the total number of MBBS seats in the state now stands at 450, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced today.
"In the last three years, we have achieved a record addition of 225 MBBS seats in the state, marking a significant milestone in our continuous efforts to bolster medical education and healthcare infrastructure," Dr Saha said.
