Jamui, March 18 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday initiated development projects worth Rs 914 crore for Jamui during his 'Samriddhi Yatra'.
Chief Minister remotely unveiled foundation stones and inaugurated a total of 370 schemes. Of these, 181 projects worth Rs 602 crore were inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for 189 schemes worth Rs 312 crore.
Among the key projects, Kumar inaugurated the Kundghat Reservoir Scheme built at a cost of over Rs 270 crore. Officials informed that the reservoir will store rainwater flowing from nearby hills and forests, which will be used for irrigation, benefiting farmers in the surrounding areas.
