Patna, Oct. 27 -- As Bihar gears up for the first phase of Assembly elections on November 6, the spotlight is on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's home district, Nalanda, where two political heavyweights, Minister Shravan Kumar and former Minister Harinarayan Singh, are contesting to extend their electoral records.
Nalanda, known globally for the ruins of the ancient Nalanda University, remains a stronghold of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), particularly the Janata Dal (United).
