Patna, Sept. 3 -- JD(U) national president and former Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar today reviewed the flood situation in Patna amid the rising water level of the Ganga and directed the government and administration to accord top priority to the safety of people living in vulnerable areas.
After inspecting the situation along the Ganga, Nitish Kumar, who is Rajya Sabha MP, said officials should maintain constant vigil over low-lying areas and settlements along the river and ensure arrangements for shifting residents to safer locations whenever necessary.
