Patna, Jan. 12 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today directed police officers to work with honesty, full alertness and strictness to ensure effective crime control and maintain the rule of law in the state.

Inaugurating the state-level police conference at Sardar Patel Bhawan , the Chief Minister said that the police have a vital role in maintaining law and order in society. He asserted that the rule of law prevails in Bihar and expressed confidence that police officers would continue to perform their duties with integrity and commitment.
