Patna, April 17 -- Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee President Rajesh Ram today said that former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar deserved a more dignified farewell, given his nearly 20-year-long role as the central figure in Bihar's politics.

Reacting to the formation of the new government in the state, Ram said that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which contested the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections under Nitish Kumar's leadership, removed him from power within just five months, a move he said exposes the political strategy of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
