Patna, March 19 -- Expressing deep sorrow over the death of six people from Kishanganj district in a fire incident in Indore, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh to each of the bereaved family if the state.
Kumar directed the senior authorities that an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh each be provided to the next of kin of the deceased from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
He also instructed the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi to coordinate with the Madhya Pradesh government to ensure proper arrangements for transporting the bodies of the deceased to their native village in Kishanganj.
