Patna, Sept. 8 -- Congratulating the Indian hockey team for winning the Asia Cup 2025 title, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced an award of Rs 10 lakh to each of the championship-winning squad.
On his social media account, Kumar said that every member of the support staff of the team will be awarded with Rs 5 lakh each.
He said that the Indian hockey team has made the nation proud by clinching the Asia Cup 2025 title, hosted for the first time at the State Sports Academy-cum-Bihar Sports University campus in Rajgir.
To celebrate this remarkable victory, Kumar said that his government has announced special cash rewards for the team to encourage players, boost morale and promote sporting excellence in the country.
