Nagpur, June 25 -- : union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday described the handover and redevelopment of Nagpur airport as the culmination of a long and challenging journey marked by legal disputes and administrative obstacles, crediting both the Centre and the Maharashtra government for resolving the issues and ensuring the project's successful implementation.
Speaking at the airport handover programme, Gadkari said Nagpur's strategic location at the geographical centre of the country gives it a natural advantage, with major metros such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata located within a short flying distance.
