Patna, June 3 -- Bihar Health Minister Nishant Kumar has said that patients from families with an annual income of up to Rs 4 lakh will now be eligible for assistance under the Chief Minister''s Medical Assistance Fund following a decision taken by the state cabinet on Wednesday.
The Minister said the increase in the annual income ceiling for beneficiaries from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh is expected to extend financial support for treatment to a significantly larger number of economically weaker patients suffering from serious ailments.
