Patna, June 11 -- All 10 candidates contesting for 10 seats in the Bihar Legislative Council, including former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's son Nishant Kumar and BJP's new face and Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh, have been declared elected unopposed.

Of the 10 newly elected Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs), eight will enter the House for the first time.

From the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Pawan Singh, Sanjay Mayukh, Anil Thakur, and Sheila Pandit were declared elected unopposed. Sanjay Mayukh has secured a third consecutive term in the Legislative Council, while Pawan Singh and Sheila Pandit are set to begin their political innings.
