Chennai, July 18 -- union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched export of GI-tagged Samba chillies to Sri Lanka from the southern Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu on Saturday.
Ms Nirmala formally flagged off the first batch of export vehicles carrying Samba chillies and their value-added products producedby this Farmer Producer Organization to Sri Lanka and also to other parts of India including, Andhra Pradesh and Haryana, as well asto e-commerce companies.
