Mumbai, July 14 -- Nine out of 10 Sharad Pawar-led NCP MLAs have told Sharad Pawar's close confidante and senior party leader Jayant Patil that they would like to ally with the BJP-led NDA, at a recent meeting of all MLAs convened by Patil, sources said here on Tuesday.

At present, the Sharad Pawar-led NCP has 10 MLAs, eight Lok Sabha MPs and one Rajya Sabha MP, which is the party's president Sharad Pawar himself.

The Sharad Pawar-led NCP is presently a part of the opposition-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) along with the Congress and the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena.

The MVA alliance's present total strength in the Maharashtra assembly is 46 MLAs, taking into account the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena's 20 MLAs and 16 MLAs of the Congress...
