Abuja, July 17 -- Nigeria's Under-20 women's football team has opened a training camp in the capital, Abuja, ahead of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, scheduled to be held in Poland from September 5 to 27.

In a statement, Ademola Olajire, spokesman for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), on Thursday said head coach Moses Aduku had invited 28 players to camp, with 16 alreadyreporting.

The remaining players are expected to arrive in the coming days. According to the statement, the coaching staff has begun intensive training sessions to assess the players and fine-tune the squad ahead of the tournament.
